Heading 6404 · Chapter 64

Non-toy footwear with rubber, plastic, leather or composition-leather soles and textile uppers

This covers non-toy footwear with a textile upper and an outer sole made of rubber, plastic, leather or composition leather. The children distinguish sports footwear from other footwear and distinguish rubber or plastic soles from leather or composition-leather soles. In the tariff, composition leather is material made from leather or leather fibres pressed into sheets; goods whose outer surface is plastic sheeting or textile, often sold as vegan leather, are classified under other codes.

For example

  • Sports footwear with a textile upper and a rubber outer sole
  • Non-sports footwear with a textile upper and a plastic outer sole
  • Footwear with a textile upper and a leather outer sole
